CAMT Chiang Mai University Strengthens Workforce Competency through Study Visit Program

The Food Innovation and Packaging Center (FIN), Chiang Mai University, welcomed a study visit delegation from the College of Arts, Media and Technology (CAMT), Chiang Mai University, as part of the New-Generation Graduate and Competency-Based Workforce Development Program. The program aims to respond to the needs of the manufacturing sector in line with Thailand’s higher education reform policy for the fiscal year 2025. The delegation included personnel from municipal offices, provincial administrative organizations, and provincial offices.
The purpose of the study visit was to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of FIN’s roles and missions in supporting industrial sectors through applied research and development, technology transfer, and the development of food and packaging innovations with commercial potential. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss approaches for strengthening collaboration among educational institutions, government agencies, and the private sector across the entire value chain, from upstream to downstream.

The event was officially opened by Acting Sub Lt. Chakra Yodmani, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, with broad participation from public and private sector executives.
The expo featured over 200 booths representing entrepreneurs from 17 northern and 20 northeastern provinces. It included Business Matching activities designed to expand trade opportunities.
